League of Legends Patch 26.20: Worlds Balance and HEARTSTEEL Skins
Explore LoL Patch 26.20 Worlds balance changes, champion and item updates, new HEARTSTEEL skins, RP considerations and replay restrictions.
League of Legends Patch 26.20 is the Worlds patch, adding competitive balance changes, Classic and ARAM: Mayhem updates, and new HEARTSTEEL cosmetics on October 7, 2026. Riot published the notes on October 6.
What changes in the Worlds patch?
Ambessa, Ashe, Cassiopeia, K'Sante and Yunara are nerfed, while Diana, Kennen, Kindred, Lillia, Lucian, Mordekaiser, Neeko, Smolder, Swain, Tahm Kench and Vayne receive buffs. Hextech Rocketbelt loses ability haste but gains active damage. Experimental Hexplate is weaker for ranged users, and Runaan's Hurricane deals less damage with its extra bolts.
Which HEARTSTEEL skins arrive?
HEARTSTEEL Live My Life skins for Ezreal, Kayn, Aphelios, Yone and K'Sante launch on October 7. Prestige HEARTSTEEL Live My Life Sett and Prestige Classic Baron Kog'Maw arrive the same day. Check the live client price and your account region before spending RP. Regional options are available in the League of Legends RP category.
Other gameplay and client changes
Classic adds Aatrox, Caitlyn, Irelia, Karma and Quinn. ARAM: Mayhem receives champion and augment tuning. Replay downloads are now limited to matches you played, and third-party apps can no longer download other players' replays. The Act II Battle Pass is not part of 26.20; Riot says it will arrive with Patch 26.21.
What should players do?
Review changes to your main champion, test revised item builds before ranked play, and use the current in-client RP price for cosmetics. Early patch data can shift quickly, so avoid treating day-one tier claims as settled.
