Hextech Chests may be sold for RP or included in eligible Battle Pass and Honor reward tracks. Sources can change by season and region, so use the current reward path shown in your client.
Chest and key
A standard Hextech Chest requires a compatible key. It can contain shards, permanent content or essence from the current loot pool, but it does not guarantee a specific skin. Check Riot's displayed odds before buying.
Possible sources
- The shop while the chest is offered.
- Free or paid Battle Pass milestones.
- Honor goals and officially listed seasonal missions.
- Special events with an explicit Riot reward table.
Do not assume the old mastery or S-rank method still applies every season. Never sign in to a third-party “free chest” link with your Riot account.
