Vex succeeds by saving fear for the moment an enemy commits, not by spending it randomly on the wave. She marks and punishes dashes, but becomes much easier to engage when fear is unavailable.
Laning
Use long-range spells for safe farm, poke and wave control. When fear is ready, step forward to claim space; do not waste it on a minion if the opponent has backed away. Ward river entrances before pushing.
Teamfights
Landing the ultimate does not force a recast. Check nearby enemies, allied follow-up and whether fear is ready. If the dive is unsafe, protect your carry with shield and area fear. See more in our LoL guides.
