Short answer: PUBG MOBILE LIGHT is a new Android and iOS client designed to deliver the standard PUBG MOBILE experience through a smaller initial install and optional content downloads. It is not a separate game with an isolated account or matchmaking pool like the old PUBG MOBILE LITE.

Last updated: 26 August 2026. The official release window is November 2026. The Turkish App Store currently shows 12 November 2026 as an expected date, but the publisher has not confirmed that day as the worldwide launch date for every platform.

What is PUBG MOBILE LIGHT?

LIGHT keeps the main game's account, friends, owned assets and player ecosystem while changing how content is installed. Erangel is included, so no second download is required before the first match. Miramar, Sanhok, Team Deathmatch and Metro Royale were named as examples of content that can be downloaded when needed.

When will PUBG MOBILE LIGHT be released?

The official pre-registration page confirms November 2026. Pre-registration is rolling out through Google Play and the App Store, so availability may differ by account and region.

How large is PUBG MOBILE LIGHT?

The announcement targeted an Android starting package of about 1 GB and an iOS package of about 2 GB. The current Turkish App Store listing shows 2.5 GB, so the live store value is the safer reference for iOS. Optional maps and future updates will increase total storage use. You can compare this with the standard PUBG Mobile system requirements.

The App Store lists iOS 13.0 or later. Official minimum Android RAM, processor, GPU, Android version and supported frame-rate details have not yet been published.

Is LIGHT the same as the old PUBG MOBILE LITE?

No. The old LITE was an Android-only standalone game with separate accounts, no transfer to the main game, a separate player pool and 60-player matches on a smaller map. The new LIGHT uses the main PUBG MOBILE account, supports Android and iOS, allows cross-play and offers up to 100 players on Erangel.

Will UC and Royale Pass work in LIGHT?

The publisher has confirmed shared account data and owned assets, but has not separately explained UC wallet balances, Royale Pass, subscriptions or existing UID top-up routes. It is therefore too early to claim that every payment route works identically in LIGHT.

After official compatibility is confirmed, users can review PUBG Mobile UC options, Player ID UC top-up and PUBG Mobile UC E-Pin while checking account and region conditions.

Where should PUBG MOBILE LIGHT be downloaded?

Use only the Google Play or App Store pages linked by the publisher. Files promoted as “PUBG MOBILE LIGHT APK” on third-party sites before launch should not be treated as official or safe. If the store page is not visible yet, wait for the regional rollout rather than installing an unknown APK.

Confirmed and still unknown

  • Confirmed: November 2026 window, Android and iOS, shared account ecosystem, cross-play, synchronized updates and modular downloads.
  • Not confirmed: one worldwide launch day, complete Android requirements, final mode list and detailed UC or top-up policy.
