The Age of Empires Mobile 2nd Anniversary celebration starts on October 10, 2026. It brings two new Citadel Themes, a discounted Obsidian Coin pre-order, and the returning Signet Ring Reset. The announced content is available to Era #001–#160 and Empire #442–#479.
Anniversary schedule
- October 10: Pre-orders open for the Hourglass of Time and Celestial Ring Citadel Themes.
- October 13: Both new themes launch.
- October 13–19: Signet Ring Reset is available.

New themes and pre-order rewards
During the pre-order period, players can buy Obsidian Coins at a discount and receive extra rewards based on how many anniversary theme sets they unlock. Announced rewards include the Maria Theresia Chibi Portrait and anniversary stickers. Neverending Night Abyss, Starlight Realm, and selected Polar Severance gallery items also return to the Herald’s Store.

How Signet Ring Reset works
Players who have unlocked the feature can reset one Signet Ring between October 13 and 19. Fine Gold, Silver Sand, Copper Sand, and other upgrade materials are refunded in full.
- Return the ring: You also receive a full refund of the Jeweler’s Marks used to buy it, and the ring becomes available in the Jeweler’s Collection again.
- Keep the ring: You recover the upgrade materials but do not receive Jeweler’s Marks back.
Check the currency before topping up
Anniversary offers may use different currencies. The Obsidian Coin pre-order is not automatically the same as Apex Coins or Empire Coins. Verify the currency shown on the event screen first.
