Age of Empires Mobile: Apex Coins vs Empire Coins
Learn exactly what Apex Coins and Empire Coins buy in Age of Empires Mobile, including packs, VIP, heroes and in-game progression.
Apex Coins and Empire Coins are separate currencies used in different screens. Apex Coins are a purchase balance for paid bundles, special offers, event packs and eligible passes. Empire Coins are the main spendable premium currency for VIP, hero and commander systems, event wheels and selected shop items.
What are Apex Coins used for?
Spend Apex Coins where a bundle or offer displays the Apex Coins symbol: limited-time packs, hero-development bundles, mixed resource and speed-up packs, cosmetics and eligible passes. You receive the contents of the chosen bundle. Some bundles may contain Empire Coins, but the contents vary and must be checked before purchase.
What are Empire Coins used for?
Spend Empire Coins directly on VIP progress, commander or hero-skill items, recruitment events and wheels, selected War Hall or Guard Tower materials, VIP Shop items and eligible event-store goods. They can also buy speed-ups or basic resources, although those may offer weaker long-term value than VIP or rare progression items.
Can they be converted?
There is no direct Apex-to-Empire or Empire-to-Apex exchange. An Apex-priced bundle may include Empire Coins among its rewards; that is a bundle reward, not a currency conversion.
Which one should you buy?
If the item is a ready-made pack, pass or special offer priced with the Apex symbol, buy Apex Coins. If you are upgrading VIP or paying directly inside a hero, wheel or shop system priced in Empire Coins, buy Empire Coins. Always check the symbol on the game screen first.
Package amounts and final check
DostGame lists Apex Coins as 99, 499, 999, 1,999, 4,999 and 9,999; Empire Coins as 400, 2,100, 4,400, 9,200, 24,000 and 50,000. A larger number does not make one currency more valuable. Match the currency and amount, then copy your numeric Player ID. See the top-up guide or available products.
