VALORANT Patch 10.08 Notes: Gifting and Agent Changes

Historical patch archive: VALORANT Patch 10.08 was released on April 29, 2025. This page records that version rather than the live build. Check the latest VALORANT update guide before making a current gameplay decision.

Patch 10.08 at a glance

10.08 opened Season 2025 Act III. Its major headlines were balance changes for Brimstone, Astra, and Yoru; the launch of Gifting in the Featured Store; fifth-anniversary music; and a set of Agent, Premier, UI, and console fixes.

How Gifting worked at launch

Players could open an eligible Featured Store bundle or item, press Gift, choose an eligible friend, and send either the bundle or supported individual items. The recipient received an accept-or-decline prompt on their next login.

The first release was limited to eligible Featured Store content and applied checks for the recipient, friendship, region, and daily limits. Those rules later evolved, so use the live client and the current VALORANT Gifting guide for today's transaction.

Agent changes

Brimstone

Incendiary audio was updated so the damaging area was easier to hear, particularly underneath smoke. The goal was clearer combat information around the molly.

Astra

Nova Pulse's stun duration fell from 4 seconds to 3.5 seconds, bringing it closer to other stun durations.

Yoru

  • Dimensional Drift duration decreased from 12 to 10 seconds.
  • Ultimate cost increased from 7 to 8 points.

The tuning brought the ultimate's access and power closer to comparable ults at that time.

Notable Agent bug fixes

  • Waylay could once again reactivate Refract after Convergent Paths.
  • Harbor's bracelet no longer showed through thin walls.
  • Deadlock Barrier Mesh audio and high-ground interaction issues were fixed.
  • Several visual and functional issues affecting Vyse's Arc Rose, Razorvine, and Steel Garden were corrected.
  • Tejo's Stealth Drone tagging and Armageddon visual problems were addressed.
  • A Reyna Devour Overheal interaction that failed to break correctly under certain damage was fixed.

Act III and ranked rewards

Act III began with 10.08. Riot reminded players that ranked gun buddies based on the highest rank achieved across the first three Acts of Season 2025 would arrive later around Patch 11.00. This was a 2025 schedule, not the current reward calendar.

Premier and platform notes

On PC, the Premier V25A3 stage schedule was announced and the effect of disruptive-behavior penalties on Premier eligibility was changed from a flat treatment to severity-aware ineligibility. Console fixes addressed long player names overlapping the timeline UI and missing Act Rank requirement text.

Is 10.08 current?

No. Agent numbers, queues, maps, and event dates may have changed since April 2025. Always compare with the latest Riot notes. For cosmetics, see the VALORANT VP guide and skin price tiers.
