Historical note: Patch 4.09 belongs to an older VALORANT build. The details below explain what changed at that time and should not be treated as the current live balance.

General and interface changes

Observers gained the option to toggle the scoreboard during a match. Party management also became easier: a player could right-click a teammate and choose “Make Leader” to hand over party leadership. Riot also shipped small usability tweaks to the profile interface.

Fade, Chamber and Jett

Fade’s Nightfall (X) patterns flickered less on sloped walls and received clearer visual effects. Her orb visual on the agent select screen was updated too.

Chamber’s Trademark was deliberately made less reliable and less powerful: its price increased from 150 to 200 credits, charges dropped from two to one, and its audio range became larger. That was a real nerf, so old line-ups from this patch may not match today’s game.

Finally, Riot fixed a Jett bug where Tailwind would not activate immediately after curving Cloudburst. For current guides and offers, visit the VALORANT hub.
