As of 22 August 2026, VALORANT does not offer a verified built-in “Appear Offline” or Invisible toggle. If you are signed in and playing, friends may see your Riot presence or game activity.
Why this guide does not recommend Deceive
Older guides tell players to download Deceive, change shortcut targets or run an unofficial program as administrator. That software is not an official Riot feature. A third-party tool can stop working after client updates, create security alerts or require access you should not grant casually. Reinstalling it periodically does not make it safer and does not guarantee protection from account action.
Safer privacy options
- Keep party access invite-only or closed where the current client offers that control.
- Decline invites or tell friends you are practising solo.
- Mute social notifications when you need focus; this does not hide your status.
- Block or remove a specific account if the issue is unwanted contact.
- Use Riot’s official client and never enter credentials into a presence tool.
