How to Call “Enemy Spotted” in VALORANT

Use a ping or radio command to warn teammates, check Controls and Communication for your binds, and keep relevant agent voice-over enabled.

Fast enemy information helps a VALORANT team rotate, hold space and avoid walking into a prepared opponent. An “enemy spotted” message is a warning, not an instruction for every teammate to rush the same area. Always combine the call with map position and current round context.

Manual enemy warning

  1. Aim at the relevant position on the map or in the world.
  2. Use your assigned Ping key or open the ping wheel.
  3. You can also use a suitable Radio Command.
  4. Check or change these binds under Settings → Controls → Communication.

There is not one universal “Enemy Spotted” chat button that works identically for every custom key setup. A ping is usually the quickest manual option, while voice chat can add exact details such as agent, location and damage.

Automatic agent callouts

Some contextual agent voice lines and team text notifications can trigger when enemies are seen. If you cannot hear or see them, review voice-over, character voice and communication settings. These options affect presentation; they do not replace your own ping when a clear warning is needed.

React carefully instead of instantly stacking on one ping—the opponent may be holding the rotation. More communication guides are in the VALORANT hub.
