How to Change VALORANT to Japanese
Set VALORANT to Japanese through the official text-language or Riot Client setting, restart correctly and understand the voice-versus-text limitation.

To switch VALORANT to Japanese, choose Japanese (日本語) in the game’s text-language setting and restart the client. The exact label can move between client versions, but on PC it is normally under Settings → General → Text Language.
Steps on PC
- Open VALORANT and go to Settings.
- Under General, find Text Language.
- Select 日本語, apply the change and close the game.
- Relaunch through Riot Client and allow any language files to download.
If Japanese is missing or the change does not stick, fully exit VALORANT and open Riot Client settings. Select VALORANT, set its game language to Japanese, then relaunch. Do not replace package files or use third-party language changers; the official client already manages the required files.
Japanese voices with English text
The supported setting generally changes the game localization package, so menus, subtitles and Agent voice-over can change together. VALORANT does not provide a reliable official voice-only selector on every platform and build. File-edit workarounds may break after patches, so this guide does not recommend them.
