You can hide your VALORANT Account Level from non-friends through the Player Card settings. Open Collection, choose Player Cards, switch to the Level Borders tab, and clear the option that displays your account level on the player card. Save or equip the selection if the client asks.
Step-by-step
- Launch VALORANT and open Collection.
- Select the Player Card section.
- Open the Level Borders tab.
- Untick Show my account level on my player card.
- Confirm the change and return to the lobby.
A restart is normally unnecessary. If the setting does not stick, update Riot Client, repeat the change, and relaunch once.
What hiding the level changes
The toggle only controls visibility during matches with players who are not on your friends list. It does not reset or slow your level, change Competitive rank or MMR, or affect matchmaking. It also does not remove borders you have unlocked.
Account Level, AP, and rank are different
Account Level reflects time spent across VALORANT modes. You earn Account Points (AP) by playing; the amount varies with match duration and result, and the first win of the day grants bonus AP. Every 5,000 AP raises the account level, while the border design changes every 20 levels. AP does not add Battlepass or Agent Contract XP, and Account Level is not a measure of current skill.
