VALORANT has a large weapon and skin collection, and many cosmetics include detailed models, effects or inspect animations. On the default PC layout, the weapon inspect action is bound to Y. You can change this key in the controls if it conflicts with your setup.
How to inspect a weapon
- Equip the weapon you want to view.
- Press the default Y key.
- Your agent plays the weapon’s available inspect animation.
- Move, shoot or switch equipment if you need to cancel and return to the round.
Does Inspect show weapon information?
No. The original source says that all weapon information appears after pressing Y, but this overstates the feature. Inspect is primarily a cosmetic animation; it does not reveal a complete stat panel, increase damage, improve accuracy or tell you whether the gun fits your playstyle.
