For a VALORANT TPM 2.0 error fix, do not start by changing BIOS settings. Press Windows + R, run tpm.msc, and confirm that TPM is ready with Specification Version 2.0. If it is ready, the message may also involve Secure Boot or a specific Vanguard code.
Who needs TPM 2.0?
Riot says TPM 2.0 is required on Windows 11 and may also be required on some Windows 10 configurations. Many PCs already provide firmware TPM as Intel PTT or AMD fTPM, but it can be disabled in UEFI.
Safe check order
- Run tpm.msc and check status and version.
- If the console fails, open Windows Security > Device security > Security processor details.
- Run msinfo32 and note the exact PC or motherboard model, BIOS Mode and Secure Boot State.
- Follow the exact VAN 9001, VAN 9003 or VAN: RESTRICTION message instead of treating every VAN code as TPM-only.
If TPM is disabled, use only the official guide for your device or motherboard. Menu names vary: Intel PTT, AMD fTPM, Security Device Support or Trusted Computing are common labels. Enable the documented option, reboot and verify again with tpm.msc.
Avoid risky shortcuts
Do not clear TPM, flash a BIOS from another board, download random “TPM drivers,” or switch Legacy to UEFI without checking whether the system disk is MBR or GPT. TPM clearing may affect BitLocker keys. Confirm access to your recovery key before firmware work.
