VALORANT Keyboard Controls and Themed Keycap Sets

“VALORANT keyboard” can mean two different things: the in-game PC keybinds or a physical set of Agent-themed keycaps. A themed keycap does not unlock an ability or improve response time; it is a decorative replacement for a compatible keyboard key.

Common default PC controls

• Movement: W, A, S, D; Space to jump; Left Ctrl to crouch; Left Shift to walk.
• Weapons: left click to fire, right click for alternate fire/ADS, R to reload, 1/2/3 for primary/secondary/melee, 4 for the Spike, G to drop and Y to inspect.
• Interaction: F is commonly Use Object.
• Abilities: the four slots are commonly C, Q, E and X, with X used for the ultimate. The exact ability attached to a slot depends on the Agent.
• Communication: voice, ping and radio keys can be changed; check the active binding in your client instead of relying on a memorised default.

Open Settings > Controls to remap any action. Agent Profiles can override general ability binds, so inspect both sections if a key behaves differently on one Agent. Avoid duplicate binds that make two important actions compete.

Buying a VALORANT keycap set

• Check keyboard layout: ANSI, ISO and regional Enter/Shift shapes differ.
• Confirm switch-stem compatibility; many custom sets use the MX-style cross stem, but not every keyboard does.
• Compare bottom-row and spacebar sizes, key count and profile. A full-size set may not perfectly cover a 60%, 75% or nonstandard board.
• Verify whether the product is official Riot merchandise or an unofficial fan design, and review material, legends and return terms.
