Patch 10.09 at a glance
The patch limited Tejo's low-risk repeated map-targeted rocket pressure, gave opponents more reaction time against Breach's Fault Line, and helped expensive ultimates become reachable within a Swiftplay half. It also changed the gifting cap and documented cosmetic issues.
Tejo changes
Guided Salvo
- The recharging cooldown model was removed in favor of charges.
- Tejo received one free charge at round start; an extra charge cost 150 credits.
- Each rocket fired consumed one charge.
- Map Targeting Range decreased from 55m to 45m.
Riot kept the reliable space-clearing power while making wasted or low-information casts carry more economy and commitment.
Other abilities
- Stealth Drone: 300 → 400 credits.
- Special Delivery: 300 → 200 credits.
- Armageddon: 8 → 9 ult points.
Breach: Fault Line
The delay from cast to detonation increased from 1 to 1.2 seconds, giving opponents outside the center slightly more time to escape the stun.
Swiftplay starting ult points
- Breach – Rolling Thunder: 2 → 3.
- Killjoy – Lockdown: 2 → 3.
- Viper – Viper's Pit: 2 → 3.
A correction to Tejo's Armageddon starting points was later documented in the 10.10 patch notes.
Daily gifting cap
Riot raised the sending cap from 5 to 10 gifts per day starting May 15, 2025, alongside the Give Back // V25 Collection entering the Featured Store. For today's friendship, level, shard, acceptance, and refund rules, use the current Gifting guide.
Cosmetic fixes and known issues
A bug making Kill Banners appear too small after the first kill on Oni, Evori Dreamwings, EX.O, Prelude to Chaos, Mystbloom, and other skins was fixed.
Riot reverted an earlier Bolt glow fix after photosensitivity testing and kept that behavior as an Easter egg. A separate new Bolt bug caused unacceptably bright glow with possible accessibility and competitive-integrity impact; its target fix was Patch 10.11. An Omen Dark Cover targeting-mode issue that let dead allies see through Viper's Pit or other nearsight effects was targeted for Patch 10.10.
Is 10.09 current?
No. Tejo economy, ult costs, mode values, and Gifting rules may have changed since May 2025. See the VALORANT category and VP guide for current products.
