How to Unlock Agents in VALORANT: Kingdom Credits Guide

How to unlock VALORANT agents: existing agents are available in the Agent Store for Kingdom Credits, VP or an eligible Agent Unlock Token. A newly released agent first enters an automatic 28-day Recruitment Event, where you can earn the required XP for a free unlock. Radianite does not unlock agents.

Agent Store and Kingdom Credits

Choose an unowned agent in the Agent Store and review the available payment options. Kingdom Credits are earned by playing and daily progress; they cannot be bought with cash. The wallet cap is 10,000, and purchases made with Kingdom Credits are non-refundable.

New Agent Recruitment Event

The event activates automatically for 28 days. Eligible XP advances the event without selecting an old-style contract. During the active event, the new agent cannot be unlocked with Kingdom Credits or a new-player token, although VP may be offered for an instant unlock. After the event, the agent enters the normal store and can use Kingdom Credits, VP or an eligible token.

Do not mix up currencies

• Kingdom Credits: agents, Agent Gear and eligible accessories.
• VP: paid currency that can unlock an agent when offered.
• Radianite: upgrades weapon skin levels and variants, not agents.
• XP/AP: separate event, Battlepass or account progression; agent abilities are not level-locked.

Agent Gear is also separate from agent ownership. You must own the agent before spending Kingdom Credits through its cosmetic gear tiers.
