Short answer: LFT means Looking for Team. One player uses it to seek a Competitive premade, regular scrim squad, Premier roster or tournament team. LFT is a community label, not an official mode or matchmaking button.
LFT, LFP, LFM and LFG
- LFT: a player wants to join an existing team.
- LFP: a team is looking for a player or role.
- LFM: a party or roster needs more members.
- LFG: someone wants a group for games, without necessarily seeking a long-term team.
State the exact goal; asking only for a ranked duo is different from seeking a Premier roster. See the duo-queue guide.
What belongs in an LFT post?
- Region, shard, time zone and PC or console.
- Current rank, recent peak, preferred role and honest Agent pool.
- Goal: ranked stack, Premier, scrims, tournaments or long-term roster.
- Available days/hours, spoken languages, mic and comms channel.
- Strengths such as trade discipline, utility, IGL, entry or anchor without inflated claims.

How to evaluate a tryout
- Compare goals, schedule, role and communication expectations first.
- Play trial matches or scrims and judge comms, trades, utility discipline and tilt control—not scoreboard alone.
- Review a few rounds, then define captain, IGL, substitute, practice and event responsibilities before committing.

LFT for Premier
Premier is not a normal ranked party. Riot’s current guide uses 5–7-player rosters; owner/captain manages members, while the party leader queues and handles map pick/ban. Division and eligibility can restrict roster changes, so use the current Premier tab.
Safety checklist
- Never share Riot password, email access, verification codes, phone number or identity documents.
- Reject requests to hand over an account for a tryout, paid roster guarantees or rank boosting.
- Do not install unknown files, macros, cheats, remote-access software or suspicious links.
